Garden of Dreams

These two collages are the result of a photographic project I did during the summer of 2010 in Tenerife. I finally managed to compress some of the pictures in two nice posters, each of them showing a different part of our garden. With more than 200 different plants and several hundreds of pictures, I had enough material to work with.

I decided to play with the idea of contrast – shadow and light – and create two individual pictures, each representing one opposing force that can’t exist without the other. Lossely based on the concept of yin and yang, which translates as dark-bright.

I finally printed them on fine-art printing paper at the printing workshop of the HBK Braunschweig, and – once they got safely to Tenerife – had them framed at a local picture frame manufacture.
